Home is Where the Anchor Drops.

I am super happy with how these both turned out. The original photograph of the lighthouse at Grand Haven, MI was shot by my friend Katie Mulcahy. These photos were edited using the app Prisma. The text was added by using PowerPoint. This was the first time that I had downloaded open source fonts to use in Microsoft Word and was very happy with the one that I picked. It is interesting comparing the two with the different color schemes. One of them is representing a lighter happier time, while the darker picture represents a calm sea before nightfall. The lighter image has also been printed in a 4X4 size picture and used for a ceramic tile coaster and has worked very nicely. I really like now adding some text to these edited images.

Thanks for looking,

The waterways of Venice Italy

This was one of my top current favorites. The app used: Prisma with the filter: Women’s Day.

I love that it smoothed out the edges of the buildings and washed out some of the colors. It now truly does look like an oil painting. I might have to print and hang this one somewhere.

Thanks for looking as usual.

Let’s Say Hi To The Queen!

These edits are a collection of famous London sights. The app used was: Lucid. I actually liked these edits so much that I blew them up to an 8×8 and had them printed and are now framed and hanging in my bedroom.

The sights that are shown in these edits are as follow:

  • The Queen’s Tower (and Big Ben which is bell inside tower)
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Westminster Underground Sign
  • The Tower Bridge
  • The Queen’s Statue at the Kensington Palace

Thanks for looking as always!

Midnight Train In Amsterdam

The summer of 2016 I had the luxury to be able to travel Western Europe for a solid month. Many of my edited photos so far have come from this trip. This is the central train station in Amsterdam while waiting to catch a train back to our hotel. I love this “starry night”ish feel to this edit. Its almost like this is the modern day version of that painting. The editing app is called Lucid. I do like using this app as well though there is a limited amount of filters. Aside from that it still produces a good crisp edit that i have actually printed from and used as artwork or craft projects.

As always thanks for looking !

Running Through The Trees

This photo was taken last year October at Island Lake State Park in Brighton, MI. It was a beautiful day to explore a new trail for me and take some pictures along the way. This edit was then done using the app Prisma. This is one of my top favorite photos. I love the color blends and the way the sunshine was used to create a bit of a washout effect.

As always thanks for viewing my posts!
